We look forward to meeting your family!
Our preschool is a branch of St. Patrick Catholic School. We serve children ages 3 and 4 (by August 1) with full or half day classes, 5 days a week. Families do not need to be Catholic or part of the parish to enroll.
ABOUT US
St. Patrick Preschool is the perfect balance of academics and healthy play. It is our goal to provide your child with the most current trends in early childhood education along with a safe, loving and fun environment. Children will be encouraged to make smart, creative choices with the guidance of professional, experienced and highly educated teachers. We offer a systematic approach to learning that builds a foundation helping your child transition to kindergarten.
OUR PROGRAM
St. Patrick Preschool offers young children the opportunity to grow mentally, physically and spiritually in a safe, structured environment. The program provides a rich learning environment that uses themed units to teach children the concepts needed to be successful in junior kindergarten or kindergarten. The class is center-based; giving children the choice to explore art, books, blocks, dramatic play, math and science, music, and sensory activities each day. The children develop fine and gross motor skills in individual, small and large group settings, in the classroom, and outside.
By participating in the St. Patrick Preschool, children will gain knowledge and experience in all the developmental areas: Cognitive, Adaptive, Motor, Social & Emotional, and Communication. The program uses the Kentucky Early Learner goals to plan experiences for children. The curriculum infuses spiritual experiences for the children as well.
DEVELOPMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Eligible students must be potty trained and 3 or 4 years old on or before August 1st of current school year.
OUR STAFF
Our program is led by our very dedicated Preschool Director, Tamara Barton. Each class has one lead teacher with one full time teaching assistant. Our Preschool Team is highly experienced in working with young children in the learning environment. We strive daily to meet each and every preschooler where they are developmentally and work with them to meet their full potential.
OUR DAILY ROUTINE
Preschool students at St. Patrick can expect the following daily routine: morning circle time, music, movement, theme activities, free play, story and writing time, snack, lunch, prayer, rest time, Bible stories and academic centers. The class will participate in seasonal class parties, special events and opportunities of service and charity to others. Each student will be given the opportunity to participate in activities at their own level of development.
