¡Hola! My name is Maria Alfaya and I am thrilled to be teaching Spanish for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades at St. Patrick School!
I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. When I was young (a long, long, long time ago), I played professional volleyball for 10 years. I have a B.S. in Education from an Argentinian College and a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education, Learning and Behavior Disorders from Western Kentucky University. I lived in Canada and different cities in USA. I have taught in Public, Independent, and Catholic schools, and I am very excited to start my first year of teaching at such a wonderful school like St. Patrick!
I have several hobbies, but my favorites ones are spending time with my family and traveling!
Together, we are going to have a fantastic year!
