Mrs. Karen Sirianno began directing musicals at St. Patrick Catholic School in January 2002. She has directed and produced over 30 shows featuring hundreds of students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. She has been teaching Music/Drama in the middle school for 11 years, where students not only learn about the history of music and theater, but they also get introduced to the art of public speaking and acting techniques.
Karen has performed on stage in several productions such as My Fair Lady, Blue Plate Special, Cabaret, Steel Magnolias, and A Streetcar Named Desire; she has also appeared in regional commercials and on national television programs such as “Regis and Kathie Lee” and “Not Just News”.
Before coming to Louisville, Karen was the Program Manager of U.S. SPACE CAMP in Huntsville Alabama, a large-scale educational camp, that saw 10,000 annual participants come from all over the world to enjoy a week of space experiences. Karen is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and English. Karen resides in Simpsonville, Kentucky with her husband, Tom, and her sons, Mitch and Mark.
