Shannon Tyra was born and and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attendedAscension Catholic School and Sacred Heart Academy. She received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master's Degree in Education from Spalding University.
Ms. Tyra taught 4th Grade at Holy Trinity for 9 years. She began working at St. Patrick in 2012 and is currently teaching 3rd grade.
Shannon will be working with the Great Books Club and she will continue to administer the Gesell Developmental Screening for incoming Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students.
She currently lives in Norton Commons with her daughter, Sydney, her son, Cooper, and her dogs Emma and Stella. She enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
